Students and staff at Kensington Elementary celebrated International Literacy Day on September 7, 2018. The intention of International Literacy Day is to highlight the significance of literacy. Students and staff came to school dressed up as their favorite book character and some brought their favorite book to school. Guest readers stopped by each class to spend some time reading to the students. Guest readers were Maurice Cobb (KES Principal), Carla Brandon (KES Assistant Principal), Ashley Smith (KES Reading Specialist), Roxanne Williams (KES Psycologist), Fedrick Cohens (GCSD), Jeanette Johnson (GCSD), and Nikki Ewing (GKCU).
