Koala History
Kensington Elementary School has a long history of achievement, innovation and strong parental/community involvement. Constructed in the late 1950's, our school has undergone several renovations and expansions in its fifty years. Kensington has served the Georgetown area with strong academic programs to help area children achieve their maximum potential within a comprehensive, safe, and nuturing learning environment. Kensington Elementary School was selected as one of Palmetto's Finest and has been recognized as an Associate School by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and School Leadership. The school has also received and successfully implemented numerous state and foundation grants.
